I'm Agnostic. But am open to any religious belief, because I'm trying to find where I fit.

PS. If you don't believe in God/Devil, Heaven/Hell, you're Atheist. There's nothing wrong with that.

Athiest. But on occasion I'll feign loyalty 2 one religion or another 4 the sake of instigation, or 2 sway arguments 4 personal amusement. Chaos above all else.

JRhalo14, you think because your answer was removed, it gives "gothic" people a bad name? Seriously. The questioner, can NOT delete your answer. Only the mods can. If your answer violated the community guidelines. Has nothing to do with gothic people.

This kind of paranoid delusion is common in schizophrenia. If jrhalo has a mental condition we could choose to be sensitive to that.

Jrhalo- only the mods can delete. Questioners don't have power. You can test this your self by asking a question. It's best to not discriminate because you say off topic things and they get removed. It wasn't his fault but only for your own inequity.

wait, ok so another thing a mod took off my question which was perfectly fine what does anyone have to say to that

I believe that there's God. I know there's no proof of his existence but its nice to think that someone high and mighty has planned a life for you, that bad things will happen but better things are yet to come.there's nothing wrong with being an atheist though

I'm an atheist. Btw, never ever listen to people who call you a satanist. Shrug that off, it's happened to me and a lot of other people as well. You don't have to label or define yourself for others. You are an individual and you may believe whatever you wish to. That's all that matters..

How can you be a Satanist? Considering Atheists don't believe in the devil.
Report as
I know. It makes zero sense! I suppose some people lump atheists in with satanists because of ignorance as to what atheism is; intolerance in the mix is also likely. There was a scare about satanism in the late 80's, and people were "seeing" them everywhere. I read somewhere that the whole satan-cult-murder thing is basically an urban legend (we'll leave C.Manson and company out of this), and that the numbers of ACTUAL satanists are almost negligible.
Btw, LOVED your King Arthur Q; the answers you got were hilarious!
Report as
They blamed all kinds of music too. Saying it was satanist. It's a bunch of bologna! And thank you, I thought it was cute too, and loved all the answers I got. :)

Roman Catholic Christian.
The Roman Catholic Church is the only one who can follow her history all the way back to St. Peter the Apostle, through her 266 legitimate Popes, soon to be 267, and to Jesus Christ, who appointed St. Peter to be the first Pope (Matthew 16: 15-19, especially, verse 18). I hope this helps.

Christian plain and simple. I believe in the Bible and follow Jesus the Christ not all the man made creeds and doctrines claiming to be Christian.

I'm atheist as well and have also been accused of being satanist for my views. I wear Abercrombie sometimes and I'm wearing cashmere right now so don't think it's just the way you dress. Ignorant people don't notice that til after the fact I think. I've tried all different kinds of styles including gothic and results haven't varied for me. The proof is in the pudding and there is no god pudding so atheism makes sense to me as well. I don't mind other beliefs as long as they are not giving others excuses to discriminate against me.

If anyone knew what Atheism was, they would feel like an idiot after calling an Atheist, a satanist. JMO.

It's like calling an athlete a clerk- it doesn't even address the same issue.

I find it remarkable how ignorance runs so rampant. The same crap is always put out there too no matter how many times I refute it. The best explanation I have is that churches are teaching bad logic and incoherent thought.
Report as
I think it's really sad. And honestly, if you think about it. When "Jesus" was alive, there was no such thing as "church". He preached anywhere he was needed. Out on the rock by the ocean, at someone's home, etc. I don't understand what the point in a "church" is. Or for that matter, why people would give money to the church. You also hear so many "Christians" say, you're supposed to tithe 10% of your earnings to the church, where in the bible does it say that? I just think people play "Follow the leader" way too damn much. They believe in God, because it's easy. In fact, I can remember being scared into beileving in God when I was little. I remember this show we watched in youth group one night. I called my Dad up (who was Atheist) and told him he needed to come to church, because I was afraid he'd be left behind. It's not fair we do this to our children.
Report as
No it isn't fair. It's hurtful. Those are the reasons I speak out so much. If religion ever was good it is now poison- poisoning everything it can tangle in its web. Follow the leader is right. They steal the children away and teach them to do whatever they are told if its in one particular book. If I did this with mein kampf I would have been killed by now. What we need is critical thinkers and problems solvers when the church just keeps manufacturing yes men. I want to burn it all down but I know we can only win this fight on a civil level. That tithe thing is just proliferated because its profitable for the people pushing it.
Report as
Well your an accepting one aren't you? :)

Christians are Jews in denial, Buddhist are Hindus in denial, and muslims well, not the smartest ones around. But I do believe their is a god, we are all born the same, we all die the same, religions cant beat those 2 facts.

At least you have a couple facts- though you are way off on Christianity and Buddhism. Buddhism is intrinsically atheist, which Hinduism is not- they don't even practice remotely similar. Jews are the ones denying that Christ is the messiah- not that they are wrong, I think the Christians are insane. Islam? I cannot agree with you there either. At least Muslims understand science isn't some religion people choose to believe- only the christlings do that.
Report as
No what I mean is, Jesus was a jew, and buddha was actually a hindu, both turned thier backs on their faiths, and no buddhist are definetly not athiest and far from it, buddhism doesn't mention any existance of god, not will it ever deny it, buddhisms philosophy is simple, isn't acceptance better than ignorance and buddhism is not or never ever claimed to be a religion.
I have studied Islam and read the Koran, simple fact is which is undenialbe is that Imans are basically educated men and not fully trained with any type of special education in their own religion, I am unaware of any official college that is sanctioned by the Islamic churches.
Report as
You are half spot on about Buddhism. Karma dictates that there be no god, Buddhism is atheist and I am both. The teaching takes no stance on god and either do I. To are right about the teachers turning their backs though. No, you are right about Islam on that. It's just that the adaptability of the religion allows its followers to accept science for what it is and not try to superimpose creation myths over it.
Report as
Buddhists can choose if they believe in a god, that is part of their philosophy, buddhism is not or never ever has claimed to be a religion, it is a philosophy which people follow.Jews on't believe Jesus was a messiah because he wasn't , they follow David. One of the simplest theories I follow is that we can not ever prove God didnt or does not exist and yet we can not prove god does exist , you can say he doesnt that is your choice, I don't have to prove to any one that he existed or does exist all because it is my choice.

I Believe in God and my family is Roman Catholic and Christian but I don't consider myself religious cuz I wear clothes and listen to music that most people would call evil and dark and a priest at a church I once went to saw me with 2 atheists and told me to stop dressing the way I do (I wear cowboy hats, band shirts, round toe boots, cargo pants, and always have a hat on either my military cover or a beanie or my psychopathic records hat and my gears of war hat.) yet he tries to make feel ashamed of being who I am and for talking to atheists and for dressing the way I do so my opinion on too religious people is they think they have the power to tell anyone that they see if their wearing something that's not religious a.k.a. a Metallica t shirt they will come at you and put you down and make you feel bad and very ashamed for wearing it and being yourself. I have 3 atheist friends and I don't have a problem with atheists their people too and think the same way and have different beliefs that doesn't mean they need to be judged about it several of my followers are atheists and I have good conversations with them sometimes.

I am an atheist as well. Over time you learn to ignore the sort of ignorant twits who think atheists are satanists.

Anyone not smart enough to understand that if we don't believe in their god we don't believe in their satan either isn't worth your time anyway.

M waiting till I'm 18 to officially choose a religion... For now I can just study them... But I'm leaning to a mixture of Anton LaVey'a satanism and agnostic... I believe as long as your religion isn't about hurting or discriminating against anyone it is fine... That does not mean that I won't criticize religions that don't harm anyone but I have a little more respect for it...
