Is it ok to skip breakfast every day?

I dont like to eat in the morning but my boyfriend tells me i shouldn't do that but i cant help it because im use to it

Well, you won't have much energy throughout the day...unless of course, you eat other healthy things throughout the day.

If you eat healthy foods at other time, it's ok. Carry around a healthy snack, like nuts or cereal in your purse.

It's not the greatest thing to do. I've done it quite often before, but it really is best to eat something early to kickstart your metabolism. Plus, it gives you energy. Try to eat something small at least, if you're not hungry for a full breakfast.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it's a bad idea to skip. Skipping breakfast gives you lower energy levels, concentration, blood sugar and slows your metabolism. It's likely to put you in a worse mood, make you hungry in the middle of the morning and lead to you overeating at other mealtimes.

If you don't like traditional breakfast options like cereal or toast, try having something different like a piece of fruit or some low fat yogurt.

No. Breakfast is the most important meal, and that is when the most calories should be consumed, for controlling weight.

minor correction: Calories, when consumed fairly evenly over the course of the day, help weight control. dr Brian Wansink did a study, the people who ate breakfast, even something small, at less over the course of the day. people who did not eat anything in the morning, they tended to eat large dinners which is not good either, that can lead to weight gain.

Thanks, but I know what I'm talking about, and so does Dr. Oz. Each consecutive meal should have gradually fewer calories. That way more calories can be burned throughout the day.

Breakfast is supposed to be your biggest meal...and dinner, your lightest...I agree. Read the Canadian question answer from last night, sweet lady. :)

no!!! if you're like me and can't eat much food in the morning, try a piece of toast with cream cheese on it. or anything small like that would work too.

no breakfast is the most important meal of the day and docter oz said that people who skip breakfast want to eat more throughout the day wich gives them more a chance of obesity.

IDK I used to hear that skipping breakfast can lead to obesity, but I know several obese people that eat breakfast, I think its a matter of eating healthy, your better off not eating breakfast than eating an egg mcmuffin and hash browns. I prefer to go by nature than the so called "experts opinion" back in the days when people where hunter gatherers they didn't eat until they hunted something, and they were healthier than we are today. If you are going to eat breakfast let it be a healthy one, if not I´m sticking with the opinion that no breakfast is better. I´m not obese, I´m healthy I can bench press more than my body weight, my breakfast is normally just a cup of coffee, I treat myself to an unhealthy breakfast only 1 a week to treat myself and feel terribly sluggish when I do that.

i dot eat and im fine but make sure you eat a snack so your body has energy
