How do i get my vehicle back if i sold it but the buyer didn't pay for it all and has the unsigned title?

I sold my car to an acquaintance. He paid $150 down so I gave him the title but didn't sign it. you know, kind of a good faith gesture. Well, he never paid the balance and I want my car back.

You might have to go to court. Possession is 9/10's of the law. And he does have the car, but with your permission. If you did not have a written contract as to price and payments then you might be in trouble. The fact that you didn't sign the title doesn't hold a lot of credit in some states since it's in his possession. Never deal with friends or family members. They usually take advantage of kind acts.

u can take the cops over there were the car is bc the car is still yours bc the title is still in your name
