This is what i do. I just text my bestfriends, flirt with others, i listen to music too. Music helps me alot, i have anger issues and it really helps me. Get your mind off of it, go somewhere, do something that will make you laugh:)
Its all about dealing with your emotions in a safe way that wont hurt yourself or others. Try punching a pillow or venting out your emotions through something you like. For example, I like dance, so to deal with my anger I dance and dance.... or run ( I like running to ). Also, it may help to think of a good memory or try to resolve the problem of whatever is making you mad. I hope this helps. <3 :)
Negative emotions like anger kick us into survival mode, as if saying to our body, “we are in danger”. There is a physiological change that takes place in our body to prepare us for fight or flight. Relieving anger, utilizing violent means, such as stabbing, punching or trashing things only reduces your anger for that moment. Studies have shown that using such means release adrenaline and endorphins into the body, physically tiring you out. It won't help control future episodes. On the flip side, studies have shown that breathing techniques, jogging, tranquil music, positive social conversation, meditation and long walks are much more conducive to long term anger management control.
