My daughters sleeping schedule is so messed up any advice?

my daughter is 10 months old, she was recently sick so i let her sleep when she wanted but the past 3 nights she has been staying awake til 5am and im so tired.

I have 3 grown children so I remember being that tired. You can't really force a 10 month old to stay up all day so that idea won't work. Since she was sick, I would consider the possibility of an ear infection or something else which is making her uncomfortable that is causing her not to be relaxed enough to sleep at night. It even could be a mild infection or even a sinus headache which she can not verbalize which makes her uncomfortable and hurt worse when she lays down. Also consider the possibility that she may be teeth and getting some bigger teeth . When my daughter did this, it hit me all the sudden she may have a headache from her recent illness. Baby pain relief given her solved the problem. Good luck!

Please recite this to Bella,
Darling Bella, I love you so;
I just want to let you know.
When you say "bow-wow"
I say "meow."
When you go "grr .."
I go "purr.."
When you say "bark"
I say "ark"
When you go "growl"
I go "yowl"
Please be my Valentine forever!

Oh Claire how precious!!! I was telling my husband that Bella would be receiving a poem for Valentines Day and here it is. Petey's is almost done but it won't be that sweet but it will be cute ! It mentions his pretty black fur. ;-)

Keep her up past her new sleeptime, so gradually she sleeps at the right time again.

Well, i stand by what i said as long as she is not crying for more than an hour. I don't know how else you could get her body back into schedule naturally.

tell her when you put her to bed at the time you want her to sleep that it is bed time and you are not going to get her back out because she needs to sleep. if she cries go in once, only the first day, tell her you are still there and she's safe, but this is the last time you're going in tonight, it's bed time. then do not go back in. she's smart and she'll understand what you say. she also knows if she cries you come in, she stays up. it will take a few nights, but do not go in again once any other night but the first. only the first night just to reassure her you're not abandoning her.

I'm not sure a 10 month old baby will understand this. I could be wrong though. My three grown children wouldn't have understood this at 10 months. But maybe I'm wrong.

they don't understand word for word per say, but they do get the message, i think. at least it worked with my kids. they did not cry for more than a couple minutes, and there were no behavior changes. however if she's still sick i don't think it's a good idea

You should try to let her sleep less or try to do something so she stay awake during the day.. Because as she sleep a lot at day time.. It will be hard for her to sleep at night.
