If -243m= -9(10+n) what is the value of m when n = 5 ?

Report as

Plug (5) into n:
-243m = -9(10+(5))

Distribute -9 into everything in the parenthesis:
-243m = [-9 x 10] [-9 x 5]

Which gives you:
-243m = (-90) - (-45)

Which gives you:
-243m = -45

After that you need to "move" -243 to the other side in order to get m by itself, to do this you cancel it out by adding 243 on both sides which gives you:

m = 243 - 45

Which gives you (tada!):

m = 198

You made a mistake in the 5th and 6th lines. You added -90-(-45) and got -45.
Report as
If I added the two (-90 and -45) I would get -135... wouldn't I?

Nevermind, I messed up in step one.

If the questioner is reading ignore everything I did up there.
The answer is m = 207

-243m = -9(10 + 5)
-243m = -9(15)
-243m = -135
/-243. /-243
m = 135/243 or 0.555... ANSWER
