Who ever says they can predict the future is a either a lunatic or a liar. And anyone who thinks they can see the future is a nut. So if not you, who are these people saying this? And what do they base this wild guess upon?

Betty, it is an interesting development, because us believers are already watching the world news headlines like they're verses out of the Book of Revelation. And then along comes a personnel change in the most powerful position of religious authority on earth. So yeah, we're watching and wondering, right? I've just recently read an article about a 2012 book titled, "Petrus Romanus: The Final Pope Is Here" by Tom Horn and Cris Putnam, where the authors suggest that the pope is in on it too. For instance, Cardinal Josef Ratzinger chose Benedict for his papal name even though he was not a priest of the Benedictine Order. Many say that he sought to identify his papacy with Malachy's prophecy, that the next to the last pope would be identified with the words 'Gloria olivae' or 'Glory of the Olive', knowing that the Benedictine Order is associated by tradition with olives. AND, the authors say that Pope Benedict's number 2 guy, the Secretary of State of the Vatican, is names Cardinal Tarcisio Pietro (Peter in English) Evasio Bertone, from Romano, Italy. Cardinal Bertone and Benedict have worked together since 1992 . In 2007, Benedict made Bertone a Chamberlain, and he will be in charge of the Cardinal College that convenes together to elect the new pope in the Sistine Chapel later this Spring! There will be 67 Italian Cardinals out of 127 total voters . 22 of those were chosen by Benedict and his assistant, Bertone. Some say that" the deck is stacked "for an Italian choice. Betty, I don't appreciate the wisdom of man as others do, but I know the Book of Revelation talks about a world-wide Influencial religious leader that will rise up to give Antichrist credibility, and that's why I watch the pope and others like him. I always thought it would be a "left behind" pope though... Anyway, thanks for your interesting question, bye friend!
