I assume (elect range)your talking about where burner connects undernieth?hances are the the outlet(lugs) that the burner plugs into is worn. or the burned spade connectors them selves. below the cook top.
Turn off the power 220v breaker in breaker panel marked stove. pull out range. UNPLUG it from wall. pull out all burners from lug connectors lift the cook top up (as cleaning under) you'll see 4 lug (outlets) remove spade connectors and mounting screws. replace w/ new. put back together. plug in turn on breaker.
If just the spade connectors are worn replace burner
OR Call an appliance repairmen.
instructions are for educational purposes only i will not be held responsable for your stupidity/injury.

A GE Profile that sparks when in use may be an indication that one of the switches is shorted or worned out burner plugs. You need to turn off the power to troubleshoot the problem and reset the fuse. Find more help at http://www.ehow.com/how_12168965_replace-ge-profile-stove-top-spark-module.html. You can contact GE company for more help.
