Can you bring your own gun into the military?

I own a SCAR 17s and I was wondering which branches would allow me to bring a high quality rifle like that as my primary weapon. I'm probably going into the navy (Because my gun will definitely be useful there) But I just wanted to see if you can. and if there is a certain procedure what is it.

Carrying your own gun to the military is currently, not allowed. However, there could be changes to Pentagon operations, which would involve allowing soldiers to bring in their own guns. A program known as B.Y.O.G is set to be instituted in the course of this year.

No. You will receive a military issued firearm. The gun, like you, belong to the military...so no their not going to let you provide your own service weapon...no matter how nice of a weapon it is.
