If I want to become a chef..what is the process to become so?
A true chef is taught through experience,not a degree.If you want to be certified though,you need to graduate a culinary arts academy or school.

Finish school and get a degree in that field.

Artistic bend is always a plus. The highly successful (big Hotels/restaurants) usually attend a culinary/arts school. Julia Child studied in France and Emeril LaGasse at a school in RI. Some specialize in one thing like Pastry or Sauces (Saucere).
You learn through experience. A degree doesn't always mean someone is better than another.You must start at the bottom. (Dishwasher) You then put in the time, the drive, and the proficiency and eventually get promoted to Prep Cook.Be respectful, punctual, and don't screw up!!!You WILL Take shots from the rest, but that is how you learn your place and gain some amount of respect.
