I have a Griffin. It's a bit bulky but provides very good protection.

To protect it. It is a big difference when I take mine out of the case but I work on ladders and around water. My iPhone would have probably been ruined by now if I didn't keep it in a case but I do and it's as perfect as the day I bought it.

Good tip. My Griffin is a little bulky and it's getting a little old. At least it has kept my iPhone looking new but it's not waterproof, only water resistant. If I dropped it in water I am not totally confident that it would be undamaged. I will be checking out Lifeproof. Maybe I'll get one.
