How long does it take to get over a bad cold?

i've already been to the doctor...

Report as

2-3 weeks at the most. If it goes on longer something is wrong, and your doctor should have prescribed antibiotics for you...

The best thing you can do is just take cold medicine, because there really isn't any thing else you can do. Also try getting some sleep. because I just got done having a cold and sleep really did help.

It Takes about a week with or without medecines, what i suggest you to do is to make some infusions especially thyme infucsions ,that's very good to get rid of a cold

If you go to the doctor and get antibiotics prescribed, it will take 2 weeks, maybe up to 3 weeks. If you go to the drug store and get over the counter remedies, it will take 14 days; at the outside 21 days to get to feeling better. One way there are costs for the doctor, the antibiotics, the days off of work, etc. The other way there are costs for the over-the-counter remedies, days missed from work, etc. It's likely that you've gotten the picture by now......good luck with that cold! Please don't spread it around....

Antibiotics will not help a cold. In fact, taking them when not needed will lessen their effectiveness when you really DO need them.
