I only eat about 500 calories at the most I'm 103 pounds 5.5 and 14 I try to et more but when I do I gain 2 pounds in a day any suggestions?

You aren't gaining two pounds in a day. Do you weigh yourself right after you eat? You have to think, the food weighs something, and a lot of that is water and stuff that will pass through. Your body is just going to take what it needs to stay alive, nothing more. Try breaking up your meals into very small portions, but eat throughout the day, although this will mean that you have to face eating quite a bit, but your body needs it. It should be important to you.

eat high calorie/protein foods like ice cream or chicken, since the daily amount of calories needed to survive is 1,200. if you're only getting 500 per day, that's not good.

You need to eat more! 500 calories is not enough to be healthy. You may think it's helping you but it's really not.

I no its not but it's hard to stop and I'll gain like 2 pounds in one day if I eat more iv tryed to

Sometime you weight more at different times if the day, I don't think eating more will make you gain weight in one day.

Are you wanting to gain weight? 500 Calories a day isnt a lot. A normal diet is about 1800 calories.

No I don't but I want to eat healthier with out gaining waight so fast

I understand. Its so hard to lose once you gain. I suggest eating 5 small meals aday. Dont eat a lot of greasy fried foods, avoid sodas, and Carbs! Good luck!

You're gaining so much weight in a day because your body is being starved so when it gets food it's turning it into fat right away. You NEED to get more calories and protein, and to avoid gaining too much weight you need to exercise daily.

I exercise almost ever day for about a hour

well then you just have to accept some of the weight gain. try drinking protein shakes. my brother was practically anorexic when he was 14 so my parents bought him protein shakes and they worked and now he's a lot healthier.

500 calories? Girl that's NOTHING for a girl your age! Eat more... Just eat in moderation...eat three meals a day with veggies, meat, grain, and dairy...Eat filling portions of meals...500 calories...wow... :p

Less than 2000 calories, is malnutrition. Especially, for a fourteen year old. Detrimental to one's health further down the "road" called Life. You know(ledge} better. Speak "me" language.? Due diligence.

your weight fluctuates about 2 pounds every day. unless you are weighing yourself at the same time every day, it isn't accurate.

if your 5.5 and 103 you're anorexic dear. an average adult should be consuming 2400 calories per day.
