How can I train my dog to quit barking at the cat?

Every time my neighbor's cat walks by my dog goes crazy and starts barking and scratching at the door. It's reeeeaalllyy annoying and he's scratching up the door and windows. How do I train him to stop?

you make him lay down use a leash if need be and have the cat come over to him and when he gets excited tell him no keep him under control and have the cat if it will greet the dog hold his neck and reassure him that see the cats is ok be cool do this for a few days as a training excersize and they will get along fine

Kick him! No don't do that. Get him a bark collar and put it on him, it might hurt him but you can take it off when he learns to be silent.

Yeah but you could let him out to run around for a bit and chase the cat or so he can get tired and that way when hes inside hes too tired to be annoying :p and when he's inside put him somewhere he can't see the dang cat passing by haha

I don't know for sure, but I've had one dog and two cats for a long time, and my dog will only sometimes bark or chase my cats. I think they just have to get used to the cats being around. P.S. dogs can get jealous too! Be aware of that.
