I don't know what your father is really like. I don't know if he's a raging man that will do it, or if he was just a heated man. I wouldn't call the police, it was just an argument.

I find it is best not to argue so heatedly or let it get to that point. Your dad should never say such a thing. Maybe he is ashamed now.

No its your father, don't ever call the police on your family. Have you ever been to jail? Unless he hurts someone.

What kind of father says something like that? OMG! Whether he meant it or not .. His parenting skills suck! .. I hope you do NOT follow in his footsteps.

Your dad was just mad, when people get really mad they say a lot of things they don't mean. He will not harm your dog

you don't know that

You're right I don't, but what I do know is that people say lots of things in the heat of the moment that they don't mean. They are just frustrated and angry. I'll bet her dog is fine

Do you have a mother or an aunt or other relative you can tell this to? If so, tell them. What he said is wrong...

lf you look at this girl's profile, she has lots of Qs regarding her dog, this concerning since most of it she's annoyed by him or her dad is threatening to hurt the dog. Don't know how long she's had him, sounds like she is too immature for the responsibility of owning a pet...

I think they need to change the rules surrounding the dog & then all may be fine.food, clean water, exercise, Love & affection is what their dog needs. Exit roughhousing & aggression is not.

We are still waiting to hear the whole story. A few of us has asked what happens prior that makes her dad say this stuff but she doesn't answer. Why not I wonder.

I'm not sure if your household is the best place for your dog. He needs to know he is loved 24/7 & it's a safe place to be. Why not have the rule no rough play only affection. A dog sees our hands as a comforting tool to pat & stroke & also helps them read our verbal commands. Try everyone being nice to the dog I'm then sure there will be no problems. Here in Australia we don't use crates as much as overseas owners do. Some people use them in cars when traveling or if they have a work dog. Ie security dog or for show dogs when traveling by car. I have never known a single person who has one in their house. Most dogs big or small sleep on our beds if they are spoilt or on their own bed, mattress or cushion in the laundry or in our bedrooms on the floor. The others are outside dogs & never come inside but have their own bed or kennel on the back veranda or under cover.
