Okay, here's the lowdown, if you have a reading over 200 two hours after eating, you are diabetic. Now, 300 is not going to kill you, but, you always want to stay below 140, anything over 140 is causing damage to your vital organs, like your eyes, kidneys, heart. I'm not sure of your height, 130 is not a bad weight if you are at least 5'6". Don't panic, but you really need to let your parents know what's happening so they can help you. There is all kinds of great information on " The American Diabetes site" check it out, also try to avoid regular cokes, don't eat fruit unless it's with a meal, one orange can raise your sugar to 300. It's now about watching your carb intake, carbs convert to sugar.

Didn't mean to be disrespectful. And didn't mean just this question. Glad to hear you're getting things checked out. Wish you well.

@torcowish, I'm so glad to hear your going to get checked out, listen, I know it will be tough at first to manage, no one wants diabetes, hang in there, you want to live a long normal life, listen to what your doctor tells you to do, also make sure they send you to the classes so you will understand better whats happening to your body. Look me up if you need help, just go to google type in my name Kookiegirl then ask. com after it and you can find my last question I answered. Good luck.

Calm down little one, do you have stairs? If so, walk up and down them half dozen times or more. You'll be ok, lol put the candy away, eat more fruit.

No, fruit is bad for diabetics, it's just like eating candy if eaten alone, always eat fruit with your meal if your going to eat it, this keeps you from having sudden spikes in your sugar level.

300 is considered very high for blood sugar. Normal range is usually around 100-125 or somewhere in there. Right before I was diagnosed as a Type 2 diabetic (about 8 years ago) the nurse tested my sugar at 444 (before I was taking any meds). Now it runs about 120-150 mornings and up to 180-190 after meals, and down to 70-80 in the afternoons before eating. A chocolate binge will certainly "jack up" the numbers. And I now try to get in at least 30 minutes of walking several times a week.
