Why do some products such as Cheetos have both natural AND artificial flavors? Why don't they just leave it all natural?

I mean like, why do they have to put some artificial flavors into Cheetos instead of putting just natural and real cheese and nothing else on them?

Not only just for the color, but also the artificial additives make the product stay fresher for longer...

That makes sense but at least now I understand that any proccesed cheese in snacks isn't real.

Because you can't get the day-glow-orange cheesy goodness through just natural flavouring.

It's to add flavor to a food that is going to be on the shelf a while. Many foods, such as frozen ones, have artificial flavors added to make them tastier even when they are no longer fresh.

Take a piece of fruit flavored bubble gum. There is not a drop of real fruit juice that made that piece of gum, however the taste still reminds you of watermelon. The FLAVOR or TASTE is "natural" even though it wasn't made with any ACTUAL watermelon. There is also no way, that I can think of, to sell many natural foods and flavors so "Mother Nature" gets a little help from the companies that produce Cheetos or watermelon flavored bubble gum. "Natural" just doesn't sell as well.

What snake venom? You're crazy!!!! Nice The Empire Strikes Back pic though.

"Snake venom is all natural"....it's a saying...suggesting that just because something has "all natural" ingredients doesn't make it good for you!
