if my cat purs or head butts me does that mean it likes me ? but sometimes it dosent like to sleep next to me ? I'm confused about it

Cats often head butt when they want affection. It's their way of saying pet me now. Cats are unlike dogs in many ways i.e. They consider staring at them to be aggressive or threatening & waving their tail around is the opposite of a dog. It means they are upset threatened or sometimes simply they want to play fight + they don't always want companionship. I think if your cat is seeking affection from you & sleeping w/ you at all you should take it as a good sign.

Cats purr due to a number of reasons. Purring can indicate stress, happiness or when asking for something and thus, you may need to check the mood your cat has been into when purring.

Purring means they are content
And purring is not an indicator of stress- head butting is a sign
Of affection- and as crow stated
Cats do what they want,
And want your attention when they want it,also head butting is an attempt
To mark you, putting their sent on you
Meaning you are their property-
Hope this helps-
