Has geometric art left on impact on the world today?

The golden rectangle (golden ratio, golden proportion, golden section) is an eye pleasing oblong with 1.618 on the long side for every 1 on the short side.. incredibly it leads to the nautilus spiral !!
When past masters of art were examined, and great architecture (parthenon), the golden rectangle was found everywhere.
