You have been talking for a month and still haven't met in real life. Unless he's half way across the US more than likely he is just having fun and afraid of commitment. You should try to pressure him into meeting. If he starts making many excuses than just move on and keep him in the friend box. Best bet.. Ask him!
You can know if the guy is serious by constant communication. This involves sending text messages regularly, calling you on phone or sending gifts to you. Before going on a date. If u do. Get to know the person. And when u finally do go on the Date make sure its in a place you know. With lots of people. Dont invite them to your house cuz then they could break in. Just some Advice. Lol.
You won't know unless you actually started dating. If you ever have access to his computer, check the Internet history and see what other web sites he is visiting. A way to tell if he is serious would be to see if he is willing to do anything in real life. It sounds like it's going well so far but don't take it seriously until you start doing things in real life.
I met my boyfriend on line too. We emailed then moved on to texting then talking on the phone. When we finally decided to meet we met at a diner and had dinner. After that we met alot more times then I went to his house then he came to mine. We met each others friends and did stuff together and we have been together for 8 years now. Just be smart and check out everything before you commit to each other. I met alot of players and moved on from them once I got to know them because not everything people say on the Internet is the truth. good luck and I hope it works out for you!
First, I wouldn't resort to spying and deception. It's impossible unless you start to "know" him in the flesh and blood person, even then people aren't always honest. You need to actually be part of his life( non cyber) Then go on the old " actions speak louder than words"
