I just washed my hair last night and it's already oily any advice?

Report as

Wash and rinse with tepid water because hot water brings out the natural oil. Use very little conditioner and rinse it out thoroughly. Final rinse 1/4 c lemon juice in in 2c cool water. rinse that out. Towel dry and blow dry on cold. No heat.

I've followed both of you for a while, too! It's nice to read some sensible answers, even if some were written with tongue in cheek!

The hair thing works for me! Also avoid cream/creme rinse. It's deadly for oil hair.

@souixbeeboney's-I'm so sorry I hurt your feelings. I shouldn't have tried to joke about it that topic. It's so hard on here since we can't see anyone how something we write will be taken. I always read your answers and you are so smart that I thought what I wrote would be taken funny. I won't do it again. Please forgive me. :'-(

@blades-I did the heart stress test today. Go to your last answer for comment on how it went (pretty please)

@sincerity: It's ok, I just figured you were having a bad day or something was gnawing at you. Then you didn't come back in for a while, so I knew you were rethinking it. I didn't know you well enough, then to know you were being funny, but I think we both know each other a lot better, now.
Hope your results are A-OK. We need you around a lot longer! Stay well !

Really scrub your head when you shower or maybe you just have oily hair. Walmart have stuff to take care of oily hair.

Use a little baby powder on your head and then brush it out.It absorbs the oils.Don't worry,if you brush it out enough it doesn't look like you have dandruff.

Do the baby powder thing and skip washing your hair the next day. I know it's hard. But you can literally train your hair to not get so oily so fast. Washing your hair with shampoo strips the natural oils from your hair. This causes you to produce more of the oils to make up for it. So just hang in there. It gets better with time. (:
