Would you get in trouble if you robbed a bank if you were forced to or your family would be murdered.

I'm just curious. like if some bad people took your family hostage, you had to do what they said or your family would be murderedd. you couldn't go to the police or nothing, because they would have given you special phone that had a tracking device on it, so they'd know your every move. or they have some of there other guys follow you or be with you at all times. ( I'm not talking about me, talking about anyone that were to be in this kind of situation )

You would be charged with the robbery, although with mitigating circumstances, a judge might give a minimal sentence.

The case of Patty Hearst is the best known example of what's called Stockholm Syndrome (Google it).

Patty was kidnapped and forced to take part in robberies. She got to like the idea and participated willingly. She was found guilty and sentenced to seven year's in prison. President Carter commuted her sentence after two years and she was later pardoned.

The moral is, if you want to rob banks and claim Stockholm Syndrome as a defence, it will pay you to get wealthy, well-connected, influential parents before you start.

WHAT IF YOU DONT PARTICIPATED WILLINGLY! ITS thats or going to the funeral of you dead family members

No need to shout. I read your premise. You would have to be able to convince the DA that you hadn't participated willingly. Even then you'd be on shaky ground.

Probably not, but you probably wouldn't be successful in robbing the bank.

Well yes, the police won't blame you but you'll still be taken into custody.

No. This actually happened to Patty Hearst. I don't believe she was charged. You would be considered not responsible for your actions, I think.

EDIT: Missed part of the question. If you could prove that you really couldn't do anything else you probably wouldn't be charged.

No. It's blackmail. You have no choice The police would understand. They have situations like that all the time.
