My iPod Touch is making select the app and then double tap it to open it. It also won't let me slide the screen. How do I fix this problem?1

It looks like your touch screen digitizer is faulty. I suggest you visit an Apple store and find out if they can have the Touch replaced if it's within the warranty period. Most IPods that have a parts' problem are usually replaced depending on the prevailing conditions.

call apple, or take it to a computer store and see if they can fix the screen
