My female baby bunny had blue eyes but one of her eyes are purple-ish red now and im really worried.any ideas?

Report as

Don't worry about it. It's probably albino. If it has white fur, its eyes are changing to red. The light is making the irises look violet.
Either that, or your bunny has something called Alexandria's Genesis, which is a disorder that causes its eyes to turn violet. For humans, the disorder causes women not to grow any hair besides on they head, their eyebrows, and their eyelashes, and women do not get their menstrual cycle but are still fertile. Unfortunately, Alexandria's Genesis has not proven to be real, and Albinism (being albino) causes the same effects.
To my point: Your rabbit is albino and you have nothing to worry about.

the rabbit is blue in color
Report as
but only one eye is purple but it is to dark to be violet sry
Report as
blue fur? that's not possible unless you dyed it, in which that's animal abuse.
Report as
no it is grey but it is considerd blue becuase it has a light blue tint to its fur
Report as
ah. well then idk. you might want to talk to your vet, or take up my prediction about Alexandria's Genesis, or both. but maybe talk to your vet first.

eyes don't change colour, they look like it because of the light.

one eye is light blue but the other is a very dark purple-ish red.we have tried looking at it in differnet light but it is naturaly purple-ish red.

No no, mine change all the time

Not daily, but yearly

I guess that can happen. Did you know that almost everyone is born with blue eyes? When they get into their first few months, their eyes change to either brown, green, or hazel, or they stay the same. My health teacher taught me that and I thought it was kind of cool.
Report as
yes but i am talking about a rabbit

Plus, babies don't have knee-caps, those develop when you turn six

rabbits are mammals, are they not? they have lungs and hearts and stomachs just like us. most of them are born with blue eyes, as well.

Did you know that rabbits SCREAM when they are scared?
Report as
yes they are mammals but my litter of 8 rabbits all had brown eyes except ONE!
you are annoying me i am tired of sarcasm
Report as
sorry. i like to mess around with people, and sometimes i take it a little far. but seriously, i think you should talk to your veterinarian about this.

Keep an eye on your pet. If it is not better by Mon. call the vet's office and ask them. A lot of times they can help you with answers over the phone.

Yeah, eyes change color sometimes. Mine are hazel, so sometimes they look green and sometimes they look yellow. Other people in my family have irises that are two different colors at the same time, one half is gray, the other brown.

eyes don't usually change colour, but depending on the lighting, what you're wearing, and what colour makeup (if you wear any) you have on.
Report as
I'm a guy. No makeup. Ever. But i sort of agree with you. It depends on how big my pupil is. My eyes have a yellow ring near the center, so as the pupil changes, so does the ring.
Report as
exactly. sorry about the makeup thing, but i had to add that in there because it is a factor. some colours that you wear, like teal or blue, can bring out the green in your eyes. I have hazel eyes, too, and whenever I put on a dark teal or my turquoise eyeliner my eyes look very green.
Report as
Mine usually look very dark except for when i wake up and my pupils are more open.
