If it was totally unsafe for you to stop or you were already in the intersection, no, you should not get a ticket. However, (No offense) I don't think it skipped yellow. I think that you were paying more attention to the road rather than the light and you didn't notice it turn yellow. I don't blame you, though, because sometimes the roads are really busy and distracting. All in all, unless there was a red light camera, or a cop pulled you over, you shouldn't get a ticket.
If you ran the light. Then yes you get a ticket. All red light cameras tickets have to be reviewed by a police officer before the actual ticket can be issued. The officer reviewing that incident can see if the light in fact went from green to red with no yellow and if that did occur he should reject that incident and no ticket would be issued. You would not believe the number of incidents where the driver says that exact thing occurred. But after reviewing that incident that was not the case. I have never observed a red light doing that Most states require at least a 4 second yellow light on all camera controlled lights
