I have a 2009 Chevy equinox and it keeps overheating.. I've replaced the thermostat as well as the water pump and it keeps overheating.

does the electric cooling fan turn on? if not you'll probably need a BCM body control module.

if the water is oily,or the oil is milky it could be the heads

No it's doesn't. I had a friend take it to his shop and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it.

I flushed those out.. ;-)

lol maybe the thermostat is a bad one and it needs replaced again

lol okay i would call the Chevy dealer and tell them what it is doing a lot of times they can tell you over the phone what is wrong then send it to the shop

it could have an antifreeze leak, so you may need to replace the radiator

You should flush the system to ensure nothing is blocking the coolant

Sounds like you have a cracked head..
its allowing coolant to escape into the piston cylinders

Its expensive.. don't know what engine is in that.. if your friend took it to his shop... there is no reason he shouldn't be able to diagnose this problem..

Chech the compression of heads ,they might be cracked .

A gauge is 50 bucks maybe..
pull the plugs out one at a time..

If head gasket work needs to be done , it'll worth a bit expensive but not too exp for Chevy I would say around 800$ with labor
