Do you have to have a incubater to keep duck eggs warm

me and my freind have found 3 duck eggs and we dont have any incubater so can we just use alot of blankets to keep them warm

Yes you MUST have an incubator to precisely control the temperature and moisture, Eggs also must be turned a couple times a day either by hand or some incubators do it for you. Blankets only hold in heat, eggs need outside heat sources to keep them warm and they must stay at a certain temperature it is unlikely you could get them to hatch without an incubator. It is always best to leave eggs where you find them, the mother was probably away from the nest to get some food, they always return to them unless they have sensed there is something already wrong with the eggs.

Did you actually find them in the woods or in a forest etc.? Because if you did, I wouldn't of moved them. The embryos are likely dead already.
