How do nosebleeds happen?

Report as

They can happen if the nose gets hit, or as in the case of my son, he had a vein that was very close to the surface deep inside his nose and it kept breaking and bleeding. He went to an ENT (ears, nose, and throat doctor) and the doctor cauterized (burned ithe vein shut with a special tool ) and the vein never bled again.

Agree with Sincerity..I would only add..
Dry winter conditions can contribute to sensitive inner lining of the nose to become dehydrated. Thus bleeding can occur. I use saline solution to flush and moisturize during dry conditions to prevent this from happening

Congratulation to you!
Yes I have been tested and retested.
My physicians found a problem when I was quite young and only had it corrected within the last 5 years or so..
What's up?

Well, it's from having rheumatic fever and then strep throat several times when I was young along with scarlet fever...you know all those fun things from way back. And I never could run and such, but now with new medical technology, it won't be hard to fix. It affects my lungs too-so if I see you on here Wed night next week , I'll let you know how it went!
