Can two people play red dead redemption online if one has ps3 and the other has xbox?

Need same console for online multiplayer?

It is not possible for two people to play red dead redemption online if one has PS3 and the other person has Xbox. This is achievable if both of them have the same console for online multiplayer feature.

No currently the only game that was rumored to have cross-console gaming was CS-GO but since a Microsoft did not agree, this is only between PC and PS3
