Are black bear hamsters solitary?

Because I just seperated my two black bears and they are not doing so well on their own, I mean they eat and all but I've know them since they were born! They just don't Act the same

The black bear hamsters are solitary and cannot live with younger hamsters, regardless whether female or male. These hamsters should be kept in different cages, because they are too territorial and if kept unseparated, they can harm one another badly to cause wounds that would require stitches.
