Very inexpensive if you go to the SPCA or local animal shelter. There is a fee, and for that the dog comes neutered and with all its shots. Most shelters can even tell you if the dog is good with children, cats, other dogs, small animals, etc.
What do you mean? It all depends on the breed. I bought mine for 230 dollars. He is a pure breed cocker spaniel. But I think a dog from a pound costs 120 dollars. You would have to check with the people around in your area. Good luck!
Well, the exact initial cost of buying a dog is dependent on a number of factors; including the breed, size and the seller. The price could be anything between $100 and $2,000. The lifetime cost of keeping a dog, on the other hand, is quite exuberant.
Purebreds will cost at least a couple hundred dollars, and often more depending on demand. A dog from the shelter will have fees and you may have to pay for it to be fixed also, so it varies from $30-$150, just as a total estimate.
My mom picked up a "free dog" & found out it needed teeth pulled & cleaned, antibiotics, special food, return check ups, shots... totaling over $4000 in the first month. All dogs are expensive. I have had mine for 6 years & could have bought a small house by now!
