They wear it because it enhances their good looks.
They do? I could've sworn Ace Attorney wore a red suit. I don't know. I think maybe it's because it's a formal thing. I mean, it's formal to go to formal occasions in a black and white dress suit. When you go to a court case, you're not there to express yourself or to be different, you're there to give a case. As for the wig, I have no idea what you're talking about.

I take it you live in the UK, or another British Commonwealth nation? The black represents the authority of the court, the white is the purity of the truth, the red that the judges wear represents the power to determine the truth of the law. It goes back to the time of the English civil war and the Magna Carta.
They just end up wearing those colors I guess or maybe it just looks professional
it looks professional. and if a persons bald or balding people dont always take them seriously, so they wear a wig
So they look formal and serious because the judge is not going to give them a case if they look unprofessional .
