What was mainly stated was his health, and he felt like his ability to continue on in the manner of which was expected was no longer possible for him.

He claimed there was a lot of unbalanced things going on inside the church itself, exactly what I'm not sure.

The Popes tired. He's old. He can't concentrate on the job. I would be willing to bet in a little while, it will become known he has an illness that he has been hiding.

He caught wind of all that trash talk from the states- and a tip that the authorities were keeping a close eye on him.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=NVswgC_ljY4 I know this is in spanish, but what it explains is that the Pope was per$u4d3d to quit because of 4 gr0up c4ll3d the 1llum1n4ti and he was suppose to qu1t d3c3mb3r last year but they told him to w8 and the next Pope will prepare way for th3 4nt1chr1st. This even says that the Great H4rl0t described in 4p0c4lypse/ R3v3l4t10n is the C4th0l1c church and they know it and have admitted it. Gby

Health reason has nothing to do with the papal resignation because according to the Catholic Canon, papal reign is lifetime. There is no such thing as abdication in papacy. It is God's will for him to resign to fulfill another significant event in this year of 2013. Something unprecedented will happen this year, so the sooner he resigns, the better for God's will to be fulfilled.

The Catholic 'Canon' is a 'man made' device which has -0- (nothing) to do with God. It is a Religious tool, used to control and manipulate the 'beleivers'. Period.

i believe the pope resigned for the reason that catholic doctrine is against Gods gospel
