What are the adaptations animals use to avoid predators in the forest habitat?

What ^^ said. That and there are claws. Some reptiles' tails fall off to allow them to escape. Others have hard skin that prevents teeth from cutting through. Hard shells, tusks, poison slime on their skin, quills...

Well there's the ability to camouflage itself. Some animals/plants, rather that hide themselves, have very colorful bodies. It warns predators to stay away, for reasons like being poisonous. Lets me know that it's not a good idea to eat it
