does any one know how many "units" of life insurance through colonial pen are used for the average person over 50?

a friend of mine is under the perception that it will only cost $10.00 a month total cost

That TV ad is really vague, isn't it? I think a "unit" is $1000 of coverage, so if you only want to spend $10 a month ($120 a year) you'll only get a $1000 policy. That's really expensive!! You can get lots of good term life insurance for a lot less.

The exact amount of units of Life insurance through the Colonail Pen is estimated to be $9.95. This cost remains the same for almost all age groups. Find out more from http://www.lifeinsurancequotesnreviews.com/colonial-penn-life-insurance-rates.html.

When they price it per unit they are talking about $1000, 2 units are $2000, etc
