It is what it is now......the only thing you can do is move forward and learn from this "mistake".....I have made three of these "mistakes" in my lifetime and luckily never hurt anyone.....if the DMV has already said you can't get a restricted license then that's kinda written in stone unless your lawyer can prove that you NEED a license to survive.....for now you should probably go somewhere that does drug and alcohol counseling and LISTEN and LEARN while there.....then after you complete the counseling then you at least have that added to the reasons that the DMV should give you restricted privileges at least.....I drank for 17 years and have been clean and sober for about a year and four months now.....drinking is over-rated, ESPECIALLY if you can't control yourself when drunk....
a judge will say ride a.bus and that's about it. if you are caught driving the throw the proverbial book at you.till you get all of this behind you depend.on friends and family or alternative transportation
If you drive with this dui/injury thing and get caught they will hang you. Don't risk it. Pay the piper and find alternative means of transportation. I'm sure you didn't mean to hurt anyone but you made a bad decision.
Nothing man you made the bad decision of drinking and driving. There is no excuse whatsoever of why you made the move to drive. You can accept the punishment or drive without a license but it you're call.
U can ask yourself just what kind of husband you are and what kind of father would act this way. You have put your family and mine in jeopardy I hope you are proud of yourself. It is obvious you have no remorse.
At least in California, criminal and DMV hearings are separate so if you're looking for a DUI lawyer, you should look for one that handles DMV hearings too. If the DMV hearing has already passed and that was their ruling, you might be out of luck for a while, but that's something you can discuss with your attorney.
I have a lot of respect for people who screw up and then pull their head out of their @$$ and Learn from their mistakes! Now it is your turn to wake up, it will be rough, but man up and take the bus, bike, or walk! Stop drinking and driving, you injured someone this time and your only worry is your license! What is it going to take, does some need to be planted before you learn?
