How to get rid of dry, cracked skin?

I moisturized my legs with normal body lotion, but it didn't work well. Any help?

As far as the best lotion to use I'm not really sure.....however no matter what lotion you use it's not gonna make your skin perfect after only using it one time, just keep using the lotion you have for at least a few days before expecting to see the results.....

If you have a bath and body works around you, their triple moisture body lotion works for me and i'm constantly in chlorinated water

Use some lotions. Buy a lotion that say it mosturizes. Even lotions with oils would help. But if your skin is cracked so bad that it bleeds. I suggest you see a doctor.

I think I have the driest skin ever, because I take medicine. I just tried something and it seems to work. I haven't put lotion on for several days. And my skin's not so dry and it feels soft. Try skin so soft, by Avon. you can put it on after your shower while skin is still wet. or you can put it on while you're in the tub. when you dry off don't rub it off just dry your skin gently with towel.

kkaattee, I apply baby oil to my skin while I am still wet, directly out of the shower. Be sure to be standing outside of the tub, the tub will get slippery and you WILL fall on your ash. I know! lol I learned the hard way.

Don't take hot baths or showers. Always lotion-up after drying brim a bath or shower. Check the humidity level in your home, too.

After a hot bath or shower, pat dry the skin on your legs, leaving a little moisture. Then apply olive oil and rub it in. Let it soak in. Do this once a week and continue to moisturizer normally every night.

I've done this since l was in my teens: just before you get out of the shower, drizzle baby oil onto your wet skin. Don't use much, then using your hands, rub it in then pat yourself dry. You won't feel greasy and your skin will feel soft. You're welcome.
