Fire Alarm keeps going off ( read on )

We live in an old apartment but last summer a man came and put in an electric fire alarm (meaning it runs off electric) anywas we have gas heaters and we have to keep the one in my room turned up because the piolett goes out if its turned down meaning it has to run all the time. Well the fire alarm makes a single beep every 30 - 60 seconds. its done it for daysm its even done it when ive turned the heater completley off piolet and all. What could be the problem ? im worried because my son sleeps in my room too.z

If its beeping or chirping it means you have to replace the battery, but if the entire alarm goes off by itself they are probably dusty and so just take the hose to your vacuum and vacuum them and if that doesn't work you need to replace your fire alarms. Good luck
