Why does my dog do this... *see below*

EVERY night he'll start running down the hallway, into my room, jump onto then off the couch recliner in the living room, and repeat the circle about 6 times. He's also terribly unbalanced... is there something serious wrong with him??

He has a lot of unused energy. Take him on a walk everyday

I think a terrier/weiner dog or something...

I used to have a spitz/terrier mix, she was pretty energetic, my mother has a wiener dog, and she's pretty normal. That seems okay to me

He might have a mental problem, or he's just excited. Does he do this when he is about to be fed, or go outside? It really just depends.

It means he wants to play. Nothing is wrong with him.

I agree. Plus usually at bedtime there's a routine to it. When they see something they remember happening each night, they love it and start acting silly and happy .

LOL probably not. You should try taking him out for some more exercise, if you don't already. What breed of dog is he?

He's a terrier/ weiner dog. He's also off balance so maybe it may have to do with his wiskers? Idk
Report as
I doubt his whiskers would really affect his balance. I'm pretty sure that terriers are known to have high energy, though, so that's probably why he's got so much energy. I'm not sure about his balance, though...

Maybe he hurt a leg?
Report as
I don't know much about wiener dogs, but perhaps it's because of his short legs? I couldn't find anything through a Google search, so worse case scenario, I suppose you could just bring him into a vet to find out. Hope I helped at least a little!

You probably helped the most! His leg seems fine but, as you said, I should get him checked out. Thanks

He needs exercise. Take him for a walk every day. Don't let him drag you either. Make him or teach him to heel. 10 minutes a day works wonders.

That sounds like my dog. Sometimes he would take 5-10 laps from the living room to the kitchen and pushes all the carpets /: It's kinda funny to watch though. And he always does that for no reason...
