How do I know if I have asthma ?

Cuz sometimes when I run alot I'm out of breath or when I talk or sing I feel dizzy and I feel like I'm about to faint

You need to be evaluated by your doctor.Asthma symptoms vary, and some of the ones you mention occur. Here's a link.

Regardless, you need to know why this is happening. Talk to your parents Good luck!

If you cannot strengthen your lungs.... and cannot get passed the out of breath thing, it is possible you have asthma.
See a Dr to make sure though as asthma can be properly controlled.

Having had "childhood" asthma, one may normally be out of breath "occasionally". Other causes of one's symptoms might be associated with "Mononucleosis" the kissing disease " quite curable with proper rest over a period of time or (hopefully) not a congenital heart disease prognosis. Safe journey.

I had asthma(well technically still do) from 5-13

The symptoms you describe can be asma related but probably have more too do with

1. Motion sickness
2. elevation
3. the shape your body is in
4. endurance level
5. Nutrition

when I ran with asthma I would weeze and have a hard time catching my breath some pain. Dizziness has alot too do with energy level and the shape your in and singing wood have too do with catching your breathe.

Depending on your size, you could be over weight. But trust me, you'll know if you have asthma, I have it :( If youre worried, go to a family doctor.

See your doctor if you have signs of heavy breathing and fatigue after very little excersize.

I am a Respiratory Therapist, and have been for 16 years, Asthma is a restrictive disease involving the airways and the smooth muscle that surrounds the airways that, as in asthmatics, tends to tighten. It can also have an obstructive component as when the tissue in the airway swells thus closing off the size of the opening "lumen" and produces a wheezing sound during the inhalation and/or exhalation phase of respiration. in a sence the airways "whistle"
Although the symptoms you describe can't be excluded from asthma, they aren't the classic symptoms of asthma. The dizziness you describe when you sing could be you hyperventilating. I am not talking about tachypnea, fast breathing . I am talking about breathing too hard, which can blow off too much carbon dioxide from your system thus causing a "respiratory alkalosis, in your blood stream, That can cause your dizziness. The being out of breath can be just being out of shape, or other health problems.
The only way to be sure is consult your Doctor and he may run some tests, listen to your lungs, etc. and make the final diagnosis, and prescribe medications or other things he feels is appropriate.
