Depends... Which god?... The christian one?... So either man kind was created by evolution and adaption... Or a wizard did it... The spaghetti one?... Well who knows?... I see evidence of spaghetti everywhere...
They don't believe because they can't see god. He doesn't present himself in the flesh. Non believers can't see proof of his existence. I am Christian and believe in the word of god and the holy scriptures. My faith tells me that god exists and our Lord and savior Jesus Christ that died for our sins
Very simple; I did "seek him" and was a dedicated Christian for much of my life but a thorough study of the bible and religious history left me with no choice but to honestly admit I could no longer believe in any god. No evidence of a god and a bible full of nonsensical mythology plagiarized from other sources.
1 Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. 2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. 5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
"The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools...They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, " Romans 1:18-25
Because they freed themselves from the slavery of dead ignorance and from the tyranny of ghosts. They have no evidence or reason to believe that there is a god. They value "brain", over "bible!" They choose to "think", rather than "believe!" They prefer medicine over miracle. About the finite they know little, -- about the infinite, nothing.
Why is there suffering in world if there’s a god? Why does God sit idly while his enemies wet their swords in the blood of his friends? Why doesn't he remove the agonies of the helpless? When millions of his children have been stolen and used as beastly slaves, why did god not hear their prayer? When children were sold from breasts, why was god deaf to the mother's cry? Why was not one engaged in any evil has ever been avenged by the wrathful hand of god? And why, in the annals of mankind, no god has ever sheltered the oppressed & the poor? Why even a mother has to clasp a dead child at her breast - if there’s a god? It violates their morality to believe the murderous, bloody, hypocritical, judgmental, & vengeful fiend in the disguise of "God. If there is a God, his purposes are blasphemy. If there is no God, appeal to belief is fraudulent.
Well, that depends on which one. In the beginning, man created god, so by now, there are plenty of them. I could ask you why you don't believe in Zeus, or Odin, or Cthulhu. People don't believe in these gods, or any others, because there is no proof, and things don't add up when it comes to their teachings or holy books.
There is no evidence for any divine creature, spirit, or god, If you even do a small amount of research on religion, and it's history, you would see that all religions are ancient ways man tried to explain why natural things happen. Eventually it became a way for others to control the masses.
