Yes, it is. I am 71 yrs old, keeping up with all news, and am surprised to see the majority of American voters elect Obama again. He and his Democrats have put 4,000 new Gov't regulations on small business in just 4 years, raised out debt to China by Trillions of dollars, and have 47 million Americans dependent on the Gov,t for foodstamps. Another 20 million people are drawing welfare checks for unemployment, supposed to be for only 22 weeks, but now drawn out for 2 years! Obama is growing the Fed Govt every day, with more Fed employees now than in history, with them making 1 1/2 times the salaries as private employees, like Google, IBM, etc. We are heading for either Communism or complete Federal Gov,t controll. The majority of Americans are on some kind of Welfare now (not just Social Security Retirement benefits, like me), but on Medicade, SSI, and others that no one will stop the fraud. They like it that way, voted Obama in again, and would rather draw Welfare than work. Very scary.
I also am an older person , but am hopeful that many of the situations you refer to are "temporary" and that the overall situation will improve if we can get this administration to focus on working with industry to create jobs. In my view, more jobs will generate more revenue and decrease reliance on gov't help. Having said that, the current administration seems to be focusing too much on increasing regulations and not enough on creating the proper environment for jobs growth.
