That's probably not gonna do much. I take a pill called Zyrtec. It clears all of the mucus out of your throat. Another thing I use is a gel pill called Alka Seltzer Plus. It works very very well! Highly recommended. Lol :-) good luck and hope you feel better soon.
The average amout of time that a cough lasts is anywhere from 1-2 weeks. There is no home remedy to completely subside your cough but you can soothe your throat.Try drinking hot tea, cough drops, cough syrup, etc. Even a hot shower can help.
You shouldn't have to go to a doctor yet, if you can go to a good chemist with knowleadgable staff. They will ask you questions about if it is a chesty, mucuosy cough, or if its more in your throat, and then they will give you some medications that are best suited for it.
If you have it for almost a week though- THAT'S when you should start being a little concerned, becuase you may have a chest infection instead. 2-3 days is honestly not something to get too worried about, but yeah, you should definately start taking some medications so you can get rid of it.
And like I said, if it doesn't go away within a few days after that, then maybe THEN you should visit a doctor.
cough medication is great but make sure it has cough suppressant with all the goods stuff like fever reducer and some stuff for the pain.just take you medicine like a good boy or girl like mom always did for you!best night quill.
Take some cough drops and if you want medicine take mucinex :) Also make some tea with honey and squeeze a lemon :) Don't worry it doesn't taste horrible. Also usually when I have a cough it hurts my throat and the tea will help with that.
