My stomach hurts and my doctor says I have it bad what should I do

Reduce stress. I've heard IBS is about stress. Drink lots of water. Eat fibre. Rest and try meditation.

I would read up on IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and specifically on diet, changing your diet can help manage it.
