why do I always feel like I have to look forward to stuff in life

like I'm bored with my life unless there's something I'm looking forward to. why

Well it is better than living in the past. There is nothing wrong with looking forward to something as long as you enjoy it when the time arrives. It means you have goals and that is a good thing.
