Can I take food with me on flight out of country without them confiscating it?

I'm a vegan and im flying to the united states (I live in canada) for a week, i want to pack as much food as possible for my trip because i dont want anyone to make me anything special, what are the rules for flying food out of the country?

Yes I always do when I fly out of country :) Just no water when you go past security, but you can bring an empty water bottle and once past security fill it up for the plane. Have fun in the US!

Yes, though if in a container, its required to be less than 3 ounces, or they will confiscate it.

You need to check with Canadian customs. If hand carrying chances are you won't have a lot of luck. Packing it in your suitcase might be better. There are regs even between US and Canada.
