If one of my parents has diabetes, will i get it?
not necessarily my grandma has diabetes and none of my uncles/aunts have it
Well, you can. But it is not 100% you will....the possibility is there...
It's a possibility...
Depends. It's possible. My dad has type 2 diabetes, and my grandpa had it, but I don't. Just watch how much sugar you eat, and be healthy :)
Its hereditary, but usually skips every other person
If one of your parents have it you may be more susceptible to getting it however if you eat a healthy diet and don't become too heavy you could be fine. Just have your glucose checked now and then too
Well no you can't but you will if you don't eat right.
Your chances might be a bit higher but it's not a guarantee that you will.
You will get it if you don't take care of yourself. It is genetic, but for diabetics that is just having the predisposition for it. My mother and grandmother were diabetic. The doctor explained it that way.
You could possibly avoid it if you pursue a healthy diet.
It could be recessive, meaning it is hidden by the dominant gene and will show up in later generations. Although, you don't want to take any chances, so make sure to maintain a healthy diet.
You may but you keep a good healthy diet and regularly exercise that prevent that will be happen to you.
Not usually you would most likly get it if you were still with in her like in her womb while you were an infant.
It really depends. It's possible.
probably the same but you can go to the doctor early and get a physical health exam to prevent from getting it. so you will have to go once every year, if you want to be in good health.
It depends my dad has it and I don't I think it depends more on how you eat :)
