Can anything happen to you if you swallow two of the metal balls from your tongue ring?

I was eating cereal a few days ago and my tongue ring came lose, I swallowed the top metal ball. Today when I was eating, I swallowed another metal ball. I have cramps real bad all of a sudden. Please help.

Maybe that is why smart people do not have tongue rings.

I agree with blueblueblue. In fact, it may surprise you to hear that there are some people on this planet who have over average intelligence who where rings on their tongue.

I would go to see a doctor. It is probably just nerves, but I'd go to see a doctor. (:

Nothing bad will happen as a kid I've swallowed a lot of pointy metal objects and I'm fine. Having your cramps is just a coincidence.

They are small enough they shouldn't cause a problem.

If they were larger they might cause an obstruction, but in this case I think you'll be alright.

You would normally poop it out but if you are having severe cramps, you may want to call a doctor. What's bad, for small children, are the little ball magnets. I've seen a child die from swallowing those. It's tragic!

ive swallowed the entire bar once. you just have to wait for it to come out the other end. nothing will happen

It's usually like swallowing a penny or a dime I would think (which I have done, stupidly, when I was younger). If it comes out in your poop, good for you. If it doesn't, it may have gotten stuck somewhere in your body. This is usually not very threatening, but if that tongue ring or ball has a spike on it like an earring, it could tear something in you body (especially if it gets close to your appendix), so I would go see a doctor for that one. Also, think of the risks, please, when you get tongue piercings. There's a lot of them, so I don't even bother with anything besides my ears. Better safe than sorry.

I swallowed a ball From my tongue ring before. It's ok. It's so small it will pass right through you.

Was there a sharp edge or just a ball? If you swallowed the post along with ball, then go see a doctor. You need to be sure the post does not puncture a small hole in your intestines.
