Thoracic Spine MRI report: What does this mean?
"There is early facet arthropathy at multiple levels in the upper to mid thoracic spine, with osteophytosis and sclerosis"? There are 12 vertebrae in the thoracic spine. Can it be sub-divided into upper, mid, and lower? When the reporter has typed "upper to mid", what number vertebrae is he talking about? Upper T1-T4? Mid- T5-T8? Lower T9-T12? He is not being specific.
Generally speaking, if he says "upper to mid", what number vertebrae is he talking about?
