What is the Minimum amount required to start Stock Trading?

This is Nishant, I am interested in stock trading, I have several question regarding this, Can anyone guide me ??

It depends where you buy the stock. If you go to a place like Charles Schwab for an IRA (individual retirement account) you will pay a fee to buy the stock, a fee to sell the stock, and must have a minimum balance at all times, usually between 1,000 and 2,500 USD.

Yes that's how it goes, I learned the hard way, won't make that mistake again - those fees shrink the profits to nothing worth while.

Most countries don't have a minimum amount when it comes to stock or share trading. You can start with as much or as little as you have provided it is enough to buy some shares. A minimum amount is only usually set when a company is offering an IPO.

Look into places like sharebuilder or etrade, do it yourself stock buying. I know that sharebuilder doesn't have a minimum and I don't believe etrade does
